Ken’s ministry calling has been to “equip the saints for the work of ministry…” Ephesians 4:12. This focus has guided Ken over several decades as he has served in various areas of ministry. His second career began when he left the corporate world to bring his business experience to a mega-church. He began as Director of Involvement – working with all areas of the church which utilized volunteers. While developing this new ministry, he enrolled in seminary. After graduating, Ken accepted diverse opportunities to serve in pastoral roles. With a degree in missions, Ken has had the opportunity to serve on both the giving and receive sides of mission support. He has been on the church mission board, deciding where to allocate mission dollars, and worked on the boards of missions seeking support. He has provided leadership to non-profits and served in advisory capacities over the decades.

The business experience gained from working for Proctor and Gamble, Motorola, and AMP Inc. uniquely prepared Ken to contribute to ministries. For 18 years Ken coordinated sales and development activities between his employer and IBM. He has found that many ‘Best Demonstrated Practices’ could be applied in leading a ministry.

Teaching continues to be an area of inspiration for him. He still takes every opportunity to lead a Friday morning Bible Study when ‘in town’. He and his wife Cindy, who is on staff at Ministry Ventures, spend as much time with their (3) married kids and the (six) grandkids as they can. Relaxing hobbies include traveling, riding the Harley, walking and enjoying the beach, and doing projects around the house (unless it’s plumbing).
