Need a proven email strategy this year end to help accelerate giving?

There is a paradox that fundraisers really can’t explain; the last three days of the year people give like crazy.

In a recent video posted by Movie Mondays, Steve Screen explains both the timing and content of the three emails you should send the last three days of the year.

The goal is simple: Ask your network to make a gift before midnight on December 31st. Here’s how…

Email #1 – 10am, December 28th

  • Content: There’s only 3 days left to make your year end gift to our organization. You only have a few days left to give. Please make your gift before midnight on Dec. 31st.
  • This should be the longest of the 3 emails
  • There should be minimum focus on your organization and maximum focus on the deadline

Email #2 – 10am, December 30th

  • Content: There’s only 1 day left to make your year end gift to our organization. You only have one day left to give. Please make your gift before midnight on Dec. 31st.
  • This should be shorter than email #1
  • There should be minimum focus on your organization and maximum focus on the deadline

Email #3 – 10am, December 31st

  • Content: This is the last day to make your year end gift to our organization. You only have a few hours left to give. Please make your gift before midnight on Dec. 31st.
  • This should be shortest of the 3 emails
  • There should be minimum focus on your organization and maximum focus on the deadline

Put those lines in the water this year end!
