Moving from professional quarterback to full-time fundraiser as a ministry leader isn’t the route many would have predicted.

Danny Wuerffel was a star quarterback for the University of Florida and won the Heisman Trophy in 1996. He retired from his professional football career in 2004 and became the Executive Director of Desire Street Ministries. This ministry seeks to revitalize impoverished neighborhoods around the country by partnering with works already in motion.

In this episode, taken from our recent Accelerate Giving Conference, Danny shares fundraising insights learned while leading Desire Street Ministries. You’ll be inspired in your calling and challenged to view your role in fundraising as an opportunity for ministry.
